What's on a Certificate of Analysis
Every COA documents the analytical results for a specific production batch. Here's what each section means.
Product Identity
Compound name, molecular formula, molecular weight, CAS number, and batch/lot number for traceability.
HPLC Purity
The percentage of the target peptide in the sample, determined by reverse-phase HPLC. Look for ≥98% on research-grade compounds.
Compound Identity
Molecular formula, molecular weight, and CAS number are reported so the material can be matched against reference data for the target compound.
Appearance & Solubility
Physical characteristics of the lyophilized powder — color, form, and reconstitution behavior in standard solvents.
Endotoxin & Sterility
