Peptide Testing Labs
Independent third-party laboratories that test peptide purity, identity, net content and contamination, with what each one charges, how long it takes and what it is accredited to do. Every entry was compiled from the laboratory's own published information and re-read on 2026-09-14, with prices quoted in the currency each laboratory uses. Prices and turnaround change, so confirm with the lab before shipping a sample.

Custom peptide synthesis house, not an independent test lab.
This is a supplier and synthesis house, not an independent third-party testing laboratory. A company that sells peptides cannot impartially verify peptides, including its own. Use one of the independent labs above for verification.
Prime Analytical
Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario · Canada
Accredited environmental laboratory. Does not test peptides.
Prime Analytical does not test peptides. This directory previously credited it with peptide purity analysis, mass-spectrometry identification and endotoxin testing, none of which it offers. Corrected 2026-09-10 rather than quietly deleted, because the false version was live long enough to have been read and acted on.

What a single vial costs
The headline figure for one peptide, in the currency the laboratory quotes. A blank price is not an omission: roughly half this directory scopes and quotes every job rather than publishing a list, and that is the honest answer for those entries. The last column is the one that matters most on a page about verification: whether anyone can check a certificate against the laboratory's own record without going through the vendor who supplied it. Every link in it was requested on 2026-09-14.

Why independent peptide testing matters
Vendor COAs are not independent
A certificate supplied by the seller was commissioned by the seller. That does not make it false, but it does mean nobody outside the transaction checked it. An independent laboratory has no stake in the result.
A batch number is not a batch
Certificates get recycled across shipments, and a document with no link to the vial in your hand proves nothing about that vial. Labs with a public verification portal let you confirm the certificate exists on their record.
Purity and identity are different questions
A sample can be 99% pure and be the wrong compound. Identity confirmation by mass spectrometry answers what it is; HPLC purity answers how much of it is that thing. A useful certificate carries both.
Content is not the same as purity
Chromatographic purity describes what was detected, not how much active peptide the vial holds. A vial can read 99% pure and be badly underfilled. Net peptide content is the figure that catches that.
How Volta's own testing works
This directory exists so you can check a vial without asking us to vouch for it. If you want to see what we publish about our own lots first, the certificates, the measured batch purity and the specification behind it are all on the site.
Volta Peptides has no commercial relationship with any laboratory listed here and receives no referral fee. Listing is not endorsement, and details are the laboratories' own published claims rather than facts we have audited.
Peptide testing questions
How much does peptide testing cost?
In this directory, a single-peptide analysis runs from CA$249 to CA$280 at the Canadian laboratories that publish a price, and from US$150 to US$450 in the United States and Europe. Endotoxin and heavy-metal add-ons are typically US$100 to US$300 each. Roughly half the laboratories listed quote per job rather than publishing a list.
How long does peptide testing take?
Two to four days at the fastest laboratory here, three to five days at several, and five to ten business days at most. Compendial sterility to USP <71> takes 14 days by the culture method, which is why rapid PCR and ATP-bioluminescence alternatives exist.
Can I get peptides tested in Canada without shipping across the border?
Yes. There are Canadian laboratories in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec accepting domestic samples, several with published Canadian-dollar prices. Keeping the parcel inside Canada removes the customs step that makes cross-border testing slow and uncertain.
What is the difference between purity, identity and net peptide content?
Identity answers what the compound is, usually by mass spectrometry. Purity answers how much of what was detected is that compound, usually as chromatographic area percent. Net peptide content answers how many milligrams of active peptide the vial actually holds. A vial can be 99% pure, correctly identified, and still badly underfilled, so a certificate carrying only one of the three leaves the other questions open.
Is an ISO 17025 accredited lab better?
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation means a recognised body has assessed the laboratory against a published scope. It is stronger than the phrases "ISO 17025 aligned" and "ISO 17025 pending" that several laboratories here use, but it is scope-specific: confirm the method you need is on the accredited scope rather than assuming the badge covers everything the laboratory runs.
What should I send, and what should I write on the parcel?
Usually one unopened vial, plus a second vial for any microbiology test, since sterility and endotoxin cannot share the vial used for purity. Most laboratories ask that testing details go on a slip of paper inside the package and that the exterior carry ordinary courier details only.
