SideChain Analytics
RecommendedCanadian gold standard. HPLC-MS/MS identity, purity and net peptide content.
An independent third-party protein-chemistry and peptide-analysis laboratory in Mississauga, Ontario, serving clients across Canada. SideChain confirms identity, purity and net peptide content by HPLC-MS/MS against a validated multi-analyte panel, and resolves multi-compound blends into a per-component result from a single vial. It does not manufacture or sell compounds, so it has no commercial interest in any result it reports.
Services and pricing
Quoted per submission on the public site. The owner-supplied figures below start at CA$249 for a single peptide.
Single peptide analysis
CA$249Identity by precursor-to-product-ion transitions (quantifier and qualifier both reported), molecular mass confirmation, and active peptide content quantified against an external calibration curve. R² routinely 0.999.
Blend analysis
CA$275Every component separated and quantified on a single HPLC-MS/MS run from one vial. Reports per-component identity, per-component purity, declared versus measured ratio in mg, and a total active recovery figure on one consolidated certificate.
Bacterial endotoxin
CA$199Kinetic chromogenic LAL assay to USP <85>, reported quantitatively in EU/mL against your specified limit. Runs from the same submission.
Heavy metals
CA$149Trace Cu/Fe/Ni against an AOCS trace-metals reference plus the As/Pb/Cd/Hg panel against LGC FC8227 certified reference material, reported in µg/g. Runs from the same vial.
Contract research and method development
Scoped and quoted per projectAnalytical contract research and method development on HPLC-MS/MS and ICP-MS beyond the standing panel: identity confirmation, quantitation, impurity profiling and custom workflows, including proteins and small molecules.
Volume and discounts
- 5 or more samples: 10% off the order
- 10 or more samples: 15% off the order
- 20 or more samples: 20% off the order
Methods
- HPLC-MS/MS on a triple quadrupole, with a quantifier and a qualifier MRM transition reported for every analyte
- Quantitation to ng/mL against an external calibration curve, replicated at every calibration level
- An independent second-source reference standard run as quality control on each batch
- ICP-MS triple quad for the trace and heavy-metal panel, from the same vial
- Kinetic chromogenic LAL for endotoxin, at selectable sensitivity
What it will test
- GLP-1 and incretin receptor agonists, including semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide
- GHRH analogues and growth-hormone secretagogues
- Neuropeptides and melanocortin analytes
- Regenerative compounds including BPC-157, TB-500 and GHK-Cu
- Mitochondrial peptides and related metabolic cofactors
- Blends of any two or more panel compounds, resolved per component
What the certificate carries
- Identity from quantifier and qualifier transitions, both printed, each peptide at its own retention time
- Molecular mass confirmed in the same run
- Net peptide content in mg, against the declared label claim, with recovery as a percentage
- Chromatographic purity at the MRM transition, per component rather than one blended figure
- Salt form (acetate, TFA, free acid) stated on the certificate
- For a blend: declared versus measured ratio in mg per component, plus a total active recovery figure
- Acceptance criteria and chain of custody printed on the report; a pass is 95% recovery or higher
How submission works
- 1Email before you shipEmail info@sidechainanalytics.com with the peptide and the tests you want. SideChain confirms the sample quantity it needs, quotes the work and confirms packaging instructions.
- 2Send the vial to MississaugaSamples are received at 16 Falconer Drive, Unit 14, Mississauga, Ontario L5N 3M1. Add-on heavy metals and endotoxin run from the same submission.
- 3Read the certificate, then verify itResults are issued as a Certificate of Analysis with a report number printed bottom-right and a QR verification card. Anybody can confirm a report at sidechainanalytics.com/verify without logging in, by report number or by sample ID plus last name.
Instrumentation
- Agilent 1290 Infinity II · 6495 triple quadrupole (HPLC-MS/MS)
- Agilent 8800 ICP-MS triple quad (heavy metals)
- Kinetic chromogenic LAL (endotoxin, USP <85>)
Accreditation and quality
- Methods developed and validated against pharmacopeial guidance and certified reference standards
- Instruments qualified on a documented schedule
- Every result reviewed by a second analyst before release
Best for
Canadian researchers who want quantified net peptide content rather than a chromatographic purity figure alone, and anyone testing a blend where a single averaged number hides which component is short.
Shipping from Canada: Domestic. No customs step for a Canadian sample.
SideChain Analytics questions
How long does testing take?
About five business days after the sample is received, for the core HPLC-MS/MS identity, purity and net peptide content work. Heavy-metal or endotoxin add-ons run from the same vial and can extend that; timing is confirmed when receipt is acknowledged.
What if my compound is not on the panel?
New compounds are added continuously. Email the laboratory with the peptide and it will say whether it can run it; triplicates and ad-hoc analytes are available on request.
Does it test anything other than peptides?
Yes. The same HPLC-MS/MS and ICP-MS work extends to proteins, small molecules and custom method development. It does not accept human or veterinary samples and makes no clinical claims.
