GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide (Gly-His-Lys) first isolated from human blood plasma, with the amino acid sequence Gly-His-Lys complexed with copper. Research has found this short peptide to have substantial benefits in wound healing and immune function. It has anti-aging properties and has been found to suppress free-radical damage, increase protein synthesis, fight bacteria, and improve skin fibroblast health. GHK-Cu improves skin elasticity, tightens and firms, reduces sun damage and hyperpigmentation, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Research in mice shows it increases wound healing rates following burns by as much as 33%.
