Growth hormone release is governed by two opposing inputs, GHRH driving secretion and somatostatin restraining it, with ghrelin receptor agonists acting through a third pathway that both stimulates release and blunts somatostatin tone. Combining a GHRH analogue with a GHRP is the standard way to study that synergy, because the amplitude of the resulting pulse is greater than either agent produces alone. Tesamorelin is the stabilised GHRH analogue of choice for this work, and ipamorelin the most receptor-selective GHRP. This double-strength vial is the higher-concentration counterpart to the 10mg (5+5) presentation.
