Conflict of Interest

The primary conflict

Volta Peptides is a commercial supplier of research-grade peptides. Every guide, comparison, news item and research page on this site is published by the company that sells the compounds those pages discuss, and the site exists in part to sell them. That is a real conflict of interest and it applies to all of our content without exception.

It does not make the content wrong, and we are not going to pretend the conflict away by describing ourselves as a research resource that happens to have a shop attached. What it means in practice is that our content should be checked against sources we do not control, and every article links the sources it used so that you can.

Named contributors

No contributor to this site is an independent third party. Nobody credited here is paid by an outside sponsor to write or review content, and nobody is paid per article, per word or on any basis tied to sales of a compound they wrote about.

What we do not do

• We do not publish paid or sponsored content. No article on this site was paid for by a third party, and we do not accept payment for coverage, for a mention, or for a link.
• We do not publish customer reviews or ratings. There are none on this site and none in its structured data. Inventing them is the cheapest available trust signal and the reason none of ours can be trusted if we ever did.
• We do not take money from testing laboratories. Our testing laboratory directory lists laboratories a reader can send a vial to in order to check our own product independently. No listing is paid, no placement is sold, and the directory includes laboratories we have never used.
• We do not test our own purity claims in house. Batch purity figures come from an external analytical laboratory. See the testing methodology.
• We do not present internal review as peer review. Technical review by our Director of R&D is internal scientific review by an employee. It is not peer review, not independent third-party review and not medical review, and no page on this site may describe it as any of those.

Commercial relationships that do exist

• Affiliate programme. We operate an affiliate programme that pays commission on referred sales. If you arrived here through someone else's link, they may be paid for your order. Commission is never paid on tax.
• Advertising we buy. We advertise on search engines. Advertising we buy does not influence what our articles say, and we do not sell advertising on this site.
• PeptideAtlas. We operate a separate educational and directory site, peptideatlas.co. Where that site carries sponsor placements, they are disclosed there as advertising.
• The testing laboratory we use. Our batch certificates are produced by an external laboratory we pay for testing, which is the ordinary commercial relationship between a supplier and its analytical lab. It is disclosed on every certificate, and each certificate links the laboratory's own verification page so the result can be confirmed against the laboratory rather than against us.

Everything sold and described here is for in vitro laboratory research. Nothing on this site is medical advice, no compound described is offered for human or animal use, and no article should be read as a recommendation to obtain or administer anything.
