Lipo-C with B12 analytical verification and batch documentation
What the purity figure on this page is, who measured what, and which of the two a reader is looking at.
Specification. Every batch is released to >99% purity by HPLC. That is a threshold Volta sets, and it is a promise rather than a measurement.
Measurement. No certificate for this compound is published on the site yet. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request, and the batch history lists the ones already published. Until one is published for this material, the figure above is the release specification and nothing on this page is a laboratory result.
Checking a certificate. The batch number printed beside the price is derived from the compound code and the vial strength; the lot number on a certificate is transcribed from the document. They are produced independently, so comparing them is a real check. How to read one is set out in the quality and testing methodology page.

This is the extended formulation of the lipotropic preparation, adding the B-vitamin cofactors that the underlying pathways depend on. B12 and B6 support one-carbon metabolism and homocysteine handling alongside methionine and choline; B5 feeds coenzyme A synthesis; inositol contributes to phospholipid assembly; arginine is included for nitric oxide pathway activity. As with the base formulation, this is a fixed-ratio multi-component solution, so it suits comparative and formulation research rather than mechanistic work on any single constituent.

Lipo-C with B12 purity and identity: how the figure is measured
What >99% (HPLC) means, the masses an identity check has to land on, and the entries that make a certificate of analysis checkable rather than decorative.
Stated purity
>99% (HPLC)
Area percent of the main peak by reversed-phase HPLC
What a certificate for Lipo-C with B12 should carry
A purity percentage on its own is not checkable. These are the entries that make one verifiable, and their absence is the most common weakness in a research-peptide certificate.
The chromatogram, not only the number
A stated area percent with no trace behind it cannot be read for the shape of the main peak or for what eluted beside it. The HPLC interpreter walks through what a trace shows.
Net peptide content, separately from gross mass
A lyophilised peptide is a salt, usually of trifluoroacetic or acetic acid, plus residual water. The vial's stated milligrams are gross; net peptide content is the fraction of that mass which is the molecule. The two differ by ten to twenty percent routinely, and only one of them is what the price is per milligram of. The net peptide content calculator converts between them.
The counterion, named
Which salt form the powder is in changes the net content and the pH the powder dissolves at. A certificate that never names it leaves both unknowable.
Water content, by a stated method
Loss on drying and Karl Fischer titration give different numbers, and a water figure with no method attached cannot be compared with anyone else's.
A laboratory and a report identifier
Without both, nothing on the document can be traced back to the laboratory that issued it. The red flag checker lists the rest.
Batch certificates are published as page images in the certificate library. The source PDFs are never served: a certificate is the most forgeable document a supplier publishes, and an editable copy carrying an accredited laboratory's letterhead is worth more to a counterfeiter than to a customer.
Lipo-C with B12 storage and stability
Handling as the product record states it, followed by the degradation chemistry this particular sequence is and is not exposed to.
Handling
Store at 2-8°C in a dry, dark environment. Do not freeze. Protect from light. Use within the period stated on the batch certificate once the stopper has been pierced.
What degrades this compound
Each of these follows from the molecule itself rather than from general peptide handling.
Supplied in solution
10mlThis product arrives already dissolved, so the in-solution clock started when it was filled rather than when it was opened. Everything that runs on water contact, hydrolysis, deamidation and disulfide exchange, has been running since manufacture. A lyophilised powder holds still until it is reconstituted, which is the whole reason peptides are shipped dry.
Lipo-C with B12 compared with 5-Amino-1MQ and Cagrilintide
Pharmacological class, half-life, evidence grade, competition status and cost per milligram, side by side.
| Compound | Class | Half-life | Evidence | WADA | Cheapest per mg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5-Amino-1MQ | Metabolic / Fat Loss | Unknown in humans; estimated hours based on animal PK | DAnimal/Preclinical Only | Not listed | $4.3010mg vial |
| Cagrilintide | Metabolic / Amylin Analog | ~7 days (allows once-weekly dosing) | BPhase III / NDA Filed | Not listed | $11.405mg vial |
| Retatrutide | Metabolic / Triple Agonist | ~6 days (allows once-weekly dosing) | BPhase III / NDA Filed | Not prohibited | $4.8520mg vial |
| Semaglutide | Metabolic / GLP-1 Agonist | ~160–168 hours (~7 days) | AFDA Approved | Not prohibited | $4.2020mg vial |
| Tirzepatide | Metabolic / Dual GIP-GLP-1 Agonist | ~5 days (116 hours) | AFDA Approved | Not prohibited | $2.9730mg vial |
Evidence grades and half-lives are as recorded in the compound database, which cites its own sources on each compound page. Per-milligram prices are the cheapest strength each compound is currently listed at, in US dollars, and an out-of-stock note means that figure is not purchasable today. Cross-trial comparisons of efficacy are not comparisons: no head-to-head trial exists for most of these pairs.

A bar set for this market, not converted from the US one
Lipo-C with B12 10ml ships from British Columbia to Canadian addresses, so the parcel never crosses a border. That removes the failure a Canadian buyer of research peptides is usually weighing: an inbound international shipment can be held for import clearance or seized, and a domestic one has no clearance step to be held at.
Shipping is quoted live against the delivery address at checkout rather than estimated here, and both the standard and express tiers show their price and transit window before a payment method is chosen. The figure the page shows is the figure the rail charges: all three settlement rails price shipping through the same functions the quote does.
The Canadian figure above is not a loose conversion. Each product's US dollar base is chosen so that the live conversion lands on the Canadian shelf price set for this market, and the result is pushed up to a whole dollar rather than left carrying cents, so one figure serves the page, the feed and every payment rail. See the shipping policy for carriers and cut-off times, and the legal position on research peptides in Canada for the regulatory picture.
Lipo-C with B12 Mechanism of Action
This is the extended version of the Lipo-C formulation, containing L-carnitine 20mg, L-arginine 20mg, methionine 25mg, inositol 50mg, choline 50mg, vitamin B6 25mg, B5 25mg and B12 1mg per millilitre. Eight constituents, none of them peptides, spanning amino acids, B vitamins and two compounds central to lipid handling.
The constituents group into three loose functions. Methionine, choline, B12 and B6 all sit on the one-carbon and methylation pathways: methionine supplies S-adenosylmethionine, choline is both a methyl donor and the precursor of phosphatidylcholine, B12 is the cofactor for methionine synthase, and B6 is required for the transsulfuration branch that disposes of homocysteine. L-carnitine and pantothenate serve fatty acid oxidation, supplying the shuttle and the coenzyme A that fatty acids must be esterified to. Inositol and arginine sit apart from both, inositol in phosphoinositide signalling and arginine as the nitric oxide precursor.
The methylation cluster is the most internally coherent part, because those four genuinely interact: B12 deficiency traps folate and raises homocysteine, and B6 deficiency blocks the alternative disposal route. Whether supplying all of them to someone replete in each does anything is the same question the simpler formulation raises, and it has the same answer, which is that nothing published addresses it.
One-carbon cluster
Methionine, choline, B12 and B6 all act on methylation and homocysteine handling. B12 is the cofactor for methionine synthase and B6 for the transsulfuration branch.
Fatty acid oxidation cluster
L-carnitine operates the mitochondrial shuttle for long-chain fatty acids and pantothenate supplies coenzyme A, which those fatty acids must be esterified to before oxidation.
Phosphatidylcholine synthesis
Choline is required for phosphatidylcholine, which the liver needs to package triglycerides into very low density lipoprotein for export.
Inositol signalling
Inositol contributes to phosphoinositide signalling and has its own supplementation literature, largely in polycystic ovary syndrome and insulin resistance, unconnected to the other constituents.
Arginine and nitric oxide
L-arginine is the substrate for nitric oxide synthase. This is the constituent with the least connection to the lipid handling rationale of the rest.
Constituent Research Findings
Each entry concerns one constituent studied alone, almost always orally or in a deficiency state. None used this injectable combination.
Choline established as an essential nutrient and signalling molecule
A review characterised choline as an essential nutrient with defined roles and as a signalling molecule, establishing why its deficiency has consequences. Studied as choline.
MechanisticMethionine and choline deficiency reproduces features of fatty liver disease
Combined methionine and choline deficiency rewires transcriptional programmes to recapitulate molecular features of steatohepatitis. This is a deficiency model and establishes necessity rather than sufficiency.
Rodent modelComparative review of vitamin B12 forms
A comprehensive review compared natural and synthetic forms of B12 used in supplementation, which is the question most often asked about this constituent and most often answered with marketing.
ObservationalOral B12 dose comparison for neuropathic outcomes
A trial compared oral vitamin B12 at two dose levels on neuropathic outcomes, addressing how much is needed in a deficiency setting rather than whether repletion works at all.
Phase 3 trialMyo-inositol supplementation reviewed in polycystic ovary syndrome
A scoping review examined myo-inositol supplementation in polycystic ovary syndrome, which is where the inositol evidence base is concentrated and where its rationale is metabolic rather than lipotropic.
ObservationalInositol assessed within a multimodal regimen for insulin resistance
A study of metformin, inositol and dietary restriction together reported improvement in insulin resistance. As a combination it cannot isolate inositol's contribution, which is the same limitation this product has at larger scale.
ObservationalCarnitine's role in metabolic and cardiovascular function reviewed
A review collected the mechanistic and clinical strands on carnitine, covering the shuttle function and the settings where supplementation has been tested. Studied as L-carnitine.
MechanisticDexpanthenol effects through a coenzyme A-linked mechanism
Work reported that dexpanthenol attenuated neuroinflammation and oxidative stress through a coenzyme A-linked mechanism, consistent with its role as a pantothenate precursor.

More Constituents Means Less Attributable, Not More Effective
The simpler Lipo-C formulation has four constituents and no study of the combination. This has eight and the same absence. Adding components does not strengthen the evidence base; it makes any observed effect harder to attribute and any interaction harder to anticipate.
The inositol study cited here illustrates the problem at smaller scale. It examined metformin, inositol and dietary restriction together and reported improvement in insulin resistance. Because three interventions moved at once, the contribution of any one is unrecoverable from the result. An eight-component preparation has that problem raised to a power.
This is the same point the blend records elsewhere in this catalogue make about multi-peptide vials, and it applies with more force here because these constituents span three unrelated functional groups rather than one repair process.
The Methylation Cluster Is the Coherent Part
Four of the eight constituents genuinely interact. Methionine supplies S-adenosylmethionine. B12 is the cofactor for methionine synthase, which regenerates methionine from homocysteine and simultaneously frees folate from its methylated form. B6 is required for the transsulfuration route that disposes of homocysteine when remethylation is not the destination. Choline provides an alternative methyl source through betaine.
That cluster is not arbitrary, and a deficiency in any one of them has measurable consequences for the others. It is the strongest internal argument the formulation has.
Arginine and inositol sit outside it entirely. Arginine is the nitric oxide precursor and inositol belongs to phosphoinositide signalling, and neither has a clear relationship to hepatic lipid export or fatty acid oxidation. Their presence is harder to account for on the formulation's own logic.
B12 Is the Constituent Where the Injectable Route Has a Real Argument
Most of these constituents are absorbed adequately by mouth in ordinary circumstances, which weakens the case for injection. B12 is the exception worth stating, because its absorption depends on intrinsic factor secreted by gastric parietal cells and on an intact terminal ileum.
That pathway fails in pernicious anaemia, atrophic gastritis, after gastric or ileal surgery, and it is impaired by metformin. In those specific settings bypassing the gut is not a convenience but the point, and injectable B12 has a long and legitimate clinical history for exactly that reason.
None of which supports injecting B12 into someone whose absorption is intact, which is a different proposition and the one this product implies. The distinction between correcting a deficiency and supplementing sufficiency applies to every constituent here and to B12 most sharply, because its deficiency literature is the strongest.
Handling and Analytical Considerations
Eight constituents in one solution is a demanding analytical target. Quantifying each requires reference standards and, realistically, more than one chromatographic method: carnitine, choline and inositol are polar, essentially non-chromophoric and barely retained on reversed-phase columns, while B12 is a large coloured corrinoid and B6 absorbs strongly in the ultraviolet.
B12 also makes the solution light-sensitive as a whole, because photolysis cleaves its cobalt-carbon bond. The characteristic pink to red colour of a B12-containing solution is a crude but genuine indicator: marked loss of colour points to degradation of that constituent, whatever the other seven are doing.
Lipo-C with B12 Research FAQ
Lipo-C with B12 in Summary
An eight-constituent compounded solution extending the Lipo-C formulation with arginine, inositol, B6 and B12. Four of the eight form a coherent methylation cluster; arginine and inositol sit outside the lipid-handling rationale entirely.
No study has examined the combination, and adding constituents makes attribution harder rather than the evidence stronger. B12 is the one constituent where the injectable route has a genuine clinical argument, and only where absorption is actually impaired.
Scientific References
Primary literature and public trial registries only. No supplier or retailer pages are cited.
No published study has examined this formulation. There is no controlled trial of these eight constituents given together by injection, and a PubMed search for lipotropic injection returns nothing. The references below cover individual constituents, each a well-characterised nutrient with its own deficiency literature. Every one studied a single compound, almost always by mouth or in a deficiency state, and none studied this combination. The eight-component composition makes that gap wider rather than narrower.
